Cairns resident, Corinne Bramwell, born in what was then Tanganyika, (now Tanzania) in East Africa From her English family home, there she had an uninterrupted view of the imposing Mount Kilimanjaro. Soon to leave her birth place, she and most of her siblings chose Australia for the new homeland. Corinne joined the Cairns Photographic Society after retirement from an active business life and soon developed her unique style of photographic art. Many hours, and many layers applied to her very detailed and sometimes quirky images has seen her awarded many honours by independent judges in the club competitions. She is also an accomplished photographer outside her artistic endeavours. Inspiration is born from a passionate pursuit of her subjects, and blended together with skill and patience to reproduce her imaginings.
